Configuring Your E-Mail Account
for Netscape Communicator - Mac/Windows
Access the preference settings under Edit --> Preferences --> Mail & Newsgroups. Begin with Identity.
If your Outgoing Server (SMTP) information, in the center of the window below, is other than mail.altitude800.com in the SMTP field, do not change it, but in the User Name field, type your email address with % instead of @ as the Outgoing Mail Server UserName. Now click on the Edit button in the upper right area of Incoming Mail Servers.
The Incoming Mail Server name should read mail.altitude800.com as shown below. The User name is your email address with % between your account name and company domain name, instead of the @. Please note: This is only for the server to recognize your email account. Your correct email address is still you@yourcompanydomain.com
