SMTP Authentication Security Setup
Eudora 5 - Mac/Windows

Please note: Previously setup email accounts need only follow these instructions and make the change(s) highlighted in the image below. To setup a new email account with SMTP Authentication Security, please first review support for Configuring Your E-Mail Account.

Launch your Eudora mail program
2a. Mac version - Go to the "Special" menu - select "Settings"
2b. PC version - Go to "Tools" menu - select "Options"
3. Click on "Personalities" on left panel as show below (Version 5.1 - Click on "Getting Started" & check off "Allow Authentication")
4. Check under the "Sending Mail" section to see if "mail.altitude800.com" or "mail.yourdomain.com" is listed as the "SMTP Server". If it refers to another mail server name, do not continue, this does not apply to you. If it does apply to you, continue to Step 5
5. Check "Allow authorization" as shown below

6. Check to see if you have more than 1 Personality and repeat Steps 4-5 then continue to Step 7 below

7. Click "OK" to save changes and exit settings
8. Send a test e-mail message to yourself. Use the same password as when you login to get mail.
