Karel grew up in Bohemia, (it's in the Czech Republic) but he spent a few years in London, England where he designed theatre sets and lighting. He became an interior designer in Edinburgh, Scotland before being summoned to oversee the restoration of Downtown Pasadena, CA. After a variety of commercial projects in California, both sublime and ridiculous, he became interested in computers and things digital.
As well as the challenge of being on the cutting edge of new technologies, Karel enjoys the ocean, travel, skiing, aviation and cooking experimentation.
